How to Deal with Rejection? – Part 1 |
"The more I am rejected the more people I will get"
People are amazed when they listen to me saying such a statement. Well, it happens
to be true. Actually, what happens is that the more people will reject me, the more
I get exposed to the reasons of rejection such as "I cannot afford it", "I make
enough money, why should I do another side business" or "I need to understand more
so leave me the literature".
The more I get exposed, the more I get ready for such objections. Consequently I
prepare my answers, I improve myself, and I develop a better eye in people where
I weed those who are not likely to join from those who are willing to join. From
every 10 you approach you hardly get one to recruit as your downline and one to
be your customer, and this where the power of duplication plays a great role in
making this one downline duplicate into at least another two and those two will
duplicate into another four and those four will duplicate into another eight and
so on.
Dealing with rejection comes by practice, were you start getting used to being pushed
away – and this is when you should start developing your system which will reduce
the degree of rejection and increase the degrees of acceptance. You should create
a system that will attract people without making you approach them.
Creativity at this point is what makes the difference. You need to be creative about
your system and how you will control it. One of the successful proven systems that
has been used by western Direct Salesers is publishing a personal website were they offer
people who are interested in Direct Sales – downloadable e-books about their business and
how they are developing it. Soon they start receiving e-mails from prospects and
make contacts with those who are willing to join the business.
Other ideas include, propagating a word amongst the people around you of how successful
you've been since you joined ProLife, without directly introducing them to the business.
Make sure your card is given out in generous numbers, hoping that it will fall in
the hand of a potential prospect that will contact you.
Make a weekly gathering at your home, where you invite people to have some snacks
and drinks. Make sure ProLife's products are exposed as well as exposing a winning
image of you.
